The Sons of Slambo lock shields to defend the gates of the Prefect’s Palace against the marauding starborn. Hopefully this time Kall doesn’t cast a Purple Sun (you know he will).

Of the many skyvessels that saw action in the battles around Eklysium, some of the noteworthy include: 1) the Void Bore-Borer of the Much-great Sky-kill Armada, a scout Scavenger Engine repurposed for voidflight, 2) the Heathen Promise, an Ironfort flier that was the pride and joy of the mad Chaos sorcerer Eyegor Splithelm, 3) the Fritillary, a mass of shipwrecks lashed to the bulk of a madness-infected voidwhale and swarming with ghouls, and 4) the Black Basha, a Hulk of the Ironjawz Skybasha warclan.

Kadriye is focused on evacuating civilians from the 11th House. The Gyro Haulers of Wolfram's Urif Miresson help with the evacuation while other civilians are escorted through tunnels to secret Boltbreaker safehouses shared by Foreman Junnrik. Several gun haulers of Rygra Darkkin aid in ambushing Seraphon, as do the Charnel Court in a chance encounter.

The arch-knight of the Soot Hounds truly distinguished himself in the defense of Eklysium. At one point in the conflict, he single-handly defended a choke point making it possible for innocent civilians to flee to safety. The gargolyn is something of a new addition to the Soot Hounds. This creature seemed to have simply appeared one day after the fight in the Snarl. It quickly settled in among the soldiers and they took it as a symbol of Sigmar’s favor. But, the creature did more than just inspire the warriors. It too fought in the battle for Eklysium. Less so to defend the city but more so to protect its newly adopted family.

Again Vyzorak sat at the centre of a summoning circle, the four globes stolen from Wolfram Industries melting inside a small crucible. Thick crimson smoke rose from it, condensing into Tzeentch's sigil, its All-seeing Eye shut.
"Plotgibber! I summon thee, Xal'ar'ap of the Grand Cabal!", once again the ogroid called to the Great Beyond.
The All-seeing Eye opened. As its pupil stared deep into Vyzorak's soul, the air around it started to crack. Then, with a wet rip it opened and out of the rent stepped Xal'ar'ap.
"Well done, Thaumaturge!" cackled the Changecaster as it capered around the chamber deep within Eklysium's citadel, its blue robes swirling madly.
"9 times 9 Hyshian cycles I'm at your service, Lorehoarder. And as a first token of my respect, I'll tell you there is a gaggle of grots camped close to the Aetheric Bastion's devices. Strike fast, strike hard, destroy their camp and seize the devices!"
"So that they can be bent to Eklysium's conquest"

In the depths of the Howling Abyss, a parchment is caught by the wailing winds that give this place its name. The parchment is carried high into the air. When you catch it, it appears to be a page from the Brynhar Lodge's Great Book of Grudges.

Despite the fact Dolgul’s retinue took a steep price in warriors, brutes and ardboyz in equal quantities, there were still some emergency regiments lying in halt around a clearing Not far from the Altar. The Pillars of Scorn could be seen, even if they were hidden by rough weather. Those reinforcements were yet some more ranks of brutes and ardboyz, however with the addition of a couple dozens of gore-gruntas and a handful of maw-gruntas.
Dolgul, during one of the legendary flash of wisdom (seldomly corroborated by anyone else…), devise another cunning machination to first, hide some entire cavalry units in key counter attack locations, and second, conjure a teleport spell (learnt from his Gloomspite Gitz friends) to either relocate friends or foes. He even thought it was valid to save the hide of Grakko, if ever the ultimate need would rise.

Tokens painted to represent display and auction items and reference previous animosity campaigns; an idol of Kurnous from the prime dominion (AIII and AVI), a black tablet partially encased in sandstone and the bones of unlucky miners uncovered by Grikk Mookshield in the Biting Stones of Lahar, as seen in the turn 2 unfolding narrative, and a metallic bush from Silverside (AIV), and two barrels of Bugman's salvaged from Frorholm, having aged since the Age of Myth (AV)
